James Mayhew is a licensed attorney in the State of Washington and resides in Vancouver, Washington with his wife, Sharon. He graduated from Northwestern Law School at Lewis and Clark College in May of 1989. He began his law practice in Vancouver, Washington in 1991. After many years of practicing in most fields of the law, he has narrowed his practice to focus on real estate and criminal defense.
Originally born in Canton, New York, Mr. Mayhew completed his undergraduate degree at St. Lawrence University with a B.A. in English. After holding jobs in various fields in different states, Mr. Mayhew chose to attend law school in Portland, Oregon based on family ties in the area.
His experience in criminal and real estate litigation began with several cases brought to trial with excellent results. He is practiced in all phases of real estate law including property and boundary disputes, easement disputes, adverse possession, foreclosure and loan modifications. Mr. Mayhew has extensive experience in the areas of his criminal practice which includes all types of traffic infractions, DUIs, negligent and reckless driving, driving while suspended, assault, malicious mischief and controlled substance charges.
Mr. Mayhew truly cares about those he helps. About his choice to become an attorney, Mr. Mayhew stated “I have a passion for the victory at trial and the positive results I obtain for my clients.” When he’s not representing the best interests of his clients, you can find Mr. Mayhew on the golf course, water skiing, powder skiing or traveling.

Practice Areas: Estate Planning and Probate
Julie has been practicing law with the Mayhew Law Firm in Washington state since 2009. She focuses her practice on estate planning, trust and estate administration and probate. Julie listens carefully to her clients and focuses on presenting options that achieve the clients’ objectives.
Julie began her professional career as a certified public accountant and has a background in commercial real estate development and accounting. She brings a variety of perspectives to her position as an estate planning and probate attorney.
As a Clark County native, Julie has a deep connection to the community. She loves the Northwest outdoors and enjoys trail hiking with her husband boating and attending Blazer games, even though she remains a Golden State fan at heart.
